The cathedral of Saint Nicholas (Agios Nikolaos) at the western edge of Chora. It stands out for its ornate 18th-century icon screen and the early 17th-century full-body painting of Saint Nicholas, a work by the priest Georgios Kolydas. The depictions of Christ as the Great High Priest and of the Virgin Mary with her Child (beginning of the 18th century) are also important.
