Roukounas Taverna (Papadia)

"The ROUKOUNAS ESTATE business at Roukounas Beach, nicknamed ""Papadia"" (meaning priest's wife) since the owner's husband is a priest, opened in 1990. It has been associated with the island's famous beach ever since then. With a traditional taverna and rooms for rent, it is located in a lush, well kept environment a few meters from the main road and the bus stop. At the taverna, you can enjoy traditional dishes of Anafi prepared in a traditional oven, such as the Anafiotiko bread baked by the owner herself. The taverna's specialties include goat baked with thyme in a casserole, ladotyri cheese, the owner's fried potatoes, white eggplant with garlic, and kolokithokorfades (stuffed zucchini blossoms) with egg and lemon sauce. In addition, nice, simple, neat 25-30 square meter rooms are available for rent.
