From the chapel of the Virgin Mary Axinon (Panagia ton Axinon), on the island's main northern road , we head north, and after 300 meters the road splits in three. The first branch takes us to Saint Irene (Agia Eirini, on the northern part of the island), the second to Saint George (Agios Georgios, northeast) and the third to the little churches of Saint (Agia) Paraskevi, the Virgin Mary (Panagia) and Saint Euthymius (Agios Efthymios). We take the second route to Saint George in Vrysi. Around 1.9 km from the intersection we reach one of the few areas on the island with greenery: a lonely palm and a plane tree. Under the plane is the spring of Vrysi, ever abundant in water. 2 km from here the road ends at the secluded, pebbly beach of Agios Georgios (Saint George). Some tamarisks lend their natural shade, Saint George's church is hidden behind them.
