By the chapel of the Virgin Mary Axinon (Panagia ton Axinon) on the island's main northern road, the road splits. To the east, it passes Saint Mamas and continues south, reaching the main southern road. To the north, after 300 meters it splits again into 3 branches: the first ends at Saint Irene (Agia Eirini, in the northern part of the island), the second at Saint George (Agios Georgios, northeast), and the third at the little churches of Saint Paraskevi, the Virgin Mary, and Saint Euthymius. We can follow the third route, which also splits after 400 meters. If we walk to the right for 500 meters, then go right again, in 100 meters we will reach the church of Saint Euthymius (Agios Efthymios), with its odd blue belfry and a big cross over the doorway. The left path at the previous intersection will lead us (after 500 meters) to the church of Saint (Agia) Paraskevi, and a little higher (in 100 meters), to the old church of the Virgin Mary (Panagia).
