Megalos Potamos

From the intersection for the church and beach of Saint John (Agios Ioannis), the coastal path continues, taking us in 1 kilometer to the beautiful beach of Megalos Potamos (which means Big or Great River, it is also called Megas Potamos). This beautiful long, sandy beach in an open landscape is 5.6 kilometers from the beginning of the coastal path at the port. East of the beach, between Megalos Potamos and Agii Anargyri, there are beautiful strips of sand under the rocks that offer peace and quiet for a swim. We will encounter them if we follow the coastal path, which runs very close to the coastline on the way to Agii Anargyri (700 meters from Megalos Potamos). Where we see a path descending to our right, it ends at a beach!
