Traditional vaulted ovens, which we will find scattered throughout the island. Their architecture may be as old as the Cycladic culture. The big ones were usually used for rusks, while the small ones were used to cook delicious food. The oven in the photo can be found at the end of the 7.5-kilometer-long road that starts from Chora and heads northwest across the island, ending at a small, nearly deserted rural settlement with two churches (which honor Saint George and Saint Vasileios).
