This was a fortified position and observatory to control the western part of the island in the time of the ancient city in Kastelli. Today we will not encounter any ruins, other than stones and the walls of animal enclosures, but we can enjoy a gorgeous view of the southwestern part of the island and Chora to the east. Pyrgi is at the end of an 800-meter dirt road that starts on the left about 200 meters after the church of Saint (Agia) Paraskevi (which we will find about three kilometers down the road that heads northwest from Chora, crossing the island toward Prassa).
