Banks of the Lousios River by the Kokkori Water Mill

We can appreciate the rushing, roaring water of the Lousios River by walking down a path of a few dozen meters that starts at the old water mill of Kokkori in ancient Gortyna and descends to the banks of the river. The river forms small waterfalls, then makes a small turn and calms down. A few meters after the river flows beneath the bridge of Kokkori, there is a small beach next to it where young and old visitors enjoy its crystal clear waters in the summer.
