For a very nice little expedition from Agios Dimitrios, the southernmost settlement on the island, follow the seaside dirt road south for 1 kilometer. At this point the road on the right goes to the southernmost tip of the island, the cape of Agios Dimitrios (which we would reach if we followed the smooth dirt road until it ended). We will take that road on the right toward the cape, but turn left after 700 meters, then continue for another 500 meters. Then we will see the small beach of Patestou on our left, with small pebbles and sand.
