For a very nice little expedition from Agios Dimitrios, the southernmost settlement on the island, follow the seaside dirt road south for 1 kilometer. At this point the road on the right goes to the southern tip of the island, the cape of Agios Dimitrios. We can follow the smooth dirt road for about 1.4 kilometers, until it ends (on the property of a house). From there we can continue on foot for a few meters until we see the lighthouse at the edge of the rocky, barren peninsula. On our way, we will pass a grassy threshing floor, and we will see the island of Serifos very clearly across from us.
