To the Church of the Virgin Mary Papatzoannou

A visit to the church of the Virgin Mary (Panagia) Papatzoannou is quite interesting, mainly because the church is literally hidden and a little difficult to find. We start on the road from Merichas to Flampouria. After passing the junction for Flampouria (4.6 kilometers from Merichas), we continue for another 200 meters, then turn right onto a small dirt road, and proceed for another 200 meters. A path starts at this point, but because it is no longer used it is not so visible. The little church is not visible from this point, either. We must head southwest and descend, following the path. On our way, we will pass a dry spring. We will find the small church approximately 300 meters from where we started. This is where the path begins (at the grassy end of an old dirt road).
