Skylou (Skylos)

If we head down the dirt road that runs around the beach of Panagia Kanala in a southerly direction, after about 1,000 meters we will see the little church of Saint Nicholas (Agios Nikolaos) on our right. It has a very beautiful view of the Aegean Sea, with the island of Syros in the background. If we continue for another 800 meters, then turn right (northwest) at the crossroads, we will reach a four-way intersection after 200 meters. We can turn left (south) and proceed for 1.1 kilometers, almost to the end of the road. On the right we will find a 200-meter descending path with stairs that ends at the beautiful sandy beach of Skylou (or Skylos). Part way up the hill near the southern end of the beach, we will see the little church of Saint Nicholas (Agios Nikolaos). The beaches east of Kanala, Agios Nikolaos and Skylou, are very similar to each other and are both excellent.
