Following the coastal road south of Agios Stefanos until it ends in the area of Kaladi, we will see a path heading northeast, toward the sea. This is the beginning of a very beautiful 1.3-kilometer route (a 35-minute walk) that passes three sandy beaches: Ragousi, Agoritsa, and Agios Ioannis. This route is part of Path Five (5), which starts at Chora and ends at Agios Stefanos. Access to the first sandy beach, Ragousi, is quickest and easiest (after just 200 meters). The path to Agoritsa sometimes disappears, but if we keep moving along the coastline for about 800 meters from the first beach, we can reach this quiet sandy beach with no problem. Before Agoritsa we see another very small (mikri) beach, which we show in this photo. Walking for another 300 meters from Agoritsa, opening and closing a gate that confines goats, we will reach the idyllic beach of Agios Ioannis o Theologos, or Saint John the Theologian, with the church dedicated to the saint at its left end.
