A quiet sandy beach in the eastern part of the island, north of Lefkes. Many of the island's old iron mines are south of the beach on the peninsula at Skouries. The road stops quite high above the beach, so we climb down stairs to reach it. A coastal path heads north from Zogaki Beach, coming to another sandy beach, Kouri, after about 500 meters, where the road ends. The path continues, reaching Naousa (which is also accessible by road) after an additional 500 meters. There we can find a very beautiful sandy beach and a picturesque peninsula with the little church of Saint John the Merciful (Agios Ioannis Eleimonas) 400 meters' walk from the beach.
