Path 1 from Loutra to the Castle of Oria

Path 1 from Loutra to the Castle of Oria is a continuation of the old path that connected Chora (the main town on Kythnos) with Loutra, parts of it survive today. Path 1 starts near Loutra, at the road that heads left about 300 meters before the settlement. The path follows the road for 1.3 kilometers, then heads north for 1.5 kilometers, passing below the church of Saint (Agios) Athanasios. The path intersects with the dirt road heading to the church of Saint Philip (Agios Filippos). It then follows the path that heads northwest to the castle. This entire route is a total of about five kilometers from Loutra, the walk takes approximately 90 minutes.
