Beach on Marathi

Head to the right (north) on the path above the long beach we see when we arrive on Marathi. The trail runs parallel to the coastline. After walking about 300 meters, we will see a long pebbly beach down below us on the right, with relatively steep access. After another 150 meters, we will reach a point with a beautiful view of the bay of the settlement of Arki, which is across from us. On the hilltop, we will find the little church of the Virgin Mary (Panagia) Pantanassa. If we continue for another 150 meters, we will see the island’s third beach: a very beautiful pebbly beach where we can enjoy the wonderful water of the Aegean Sea without the crowds of Marathi’s main beach.
