Two secluded, hard-to-reach beaches are southeast of Megalo Chorio, east of the churches of Saint John (Agios Ioannis) and Saint Irene (Agia Eirini). There are no marked footpaths, but if we want to reach them we can start at the point where the road from Megalo Chorio ends (before the gate we need to open to continue toward the churches) and head east for about 300 meters to get to Mikro Ammoudaki, which means 'Little Sandy Beach.' We can continue for another 300 meters beyond that to Megalo Ammoudaki, which means 'Big Sandy Beach.' Access is generally not easy, because there are walls in the way.
