The little churches of Saint John the Baptist (Agios Ioannis Prodromos) and Saint Irene (Agia Eirini) Chrysovalantou are located 700 meters south of Megalo Chorio among trees, whitewashed stone walls, and terraces. The little churches seem to be stuck together, but they were not built at the same time. The church of Saint John was built in 1924, the church of Saint Irene in 1986. Their carved wooden iconostasis and their shared belfry are noteworthy. From the churches, a paved road leads up to the hilltop with the little church of Saint Charalambos (at 130 meters altitude). Across from the churches, on the other side of the road, we will find the beginning of a 300 meter path that leads to beautiful Tsangari Beach.
