The House of the Dolphins and the House of the Masks were luxurious private residences in the Theater District with very beautiful mosaics. The Dolphin House was named after the central mosaic in the house, a square that encloses a circle. In a triangular area in each corner, Cupid (Eros) is riding one of a pair of dolphins. The House of the Masks is a complex of four residences with high quality, colorful mosaics.
