Stadium Quarter

Three main residential districts have been excavated in Delos: the Theater Quarter (the oldest on the island), the district of Skardana and Limni (Lake), and the Stadium Quarter. Here we find the Stadium Quarter, right behind the eastern side of the stadium. There is a synagogue a little farther from the neighborhood, on its southeastern edge. Jews inhabited the island after the 2nd century BC. Northeast of the district, there are submerged ruins that provide evidence of an auxiliary commercial port.
