Three main residential districts have been excavated in Delos: the Theater Quarter (the oldest on the island), the district of Skardana and Limni (Lake), and the Stadium Quarter. The district of Skardana covered the area that started from the archaic harbor of Skardana and reached the area where the sacred lake was found. This was one of the newest neighborhoods in the city and the first to be set on fire during the pirates' raid of 69 BC.
