Immediately after the Oikos (House) of Naxians we will see the three temples of Apollo: the Temple of the Delians or the Great Temple (since it was the largest), the Temple of the Athenians, and the Porinos Naos (Poros Temple). For the construction of the Temple of the Athenians, the Athenians sent valuable white Pentelic marble and experienced craftsmen, possibly under the supervision of the architect Kallikrates. The temple was built between 425 and 420 BC and inaugurated in 417 BC by General Nikias. The temple was Doric style, amphiprostyle (that is, with porticos in the front and the back), with six columns on each short side.
