Path Eight (8) - Kastraki

Path Eight (8) starts here and heads northeast to Megalo Chorafi. We can reach the beginning of the path by following the dirt road that leads to Amani Spa (after 300 meters). We will continue for about another 500 meters, until the narrow dirt road ends at a small olive grove. On our left, to the west, there is a small hill with remnants of stone constructions, across from us to the west, in the distance, is the area called Kastraki (meaning small fortress or castle), with the ruins of fortifications that gave it its name. Path Eight (8) is about 2 kilometers long, with some very rough spots due to dense vegetation and fallen trees. The altitude difference from here (190 meters) to Megalo Chorafi (350 meters) is 160 meters. Megalo Chorafi is the starting point of four paths (six, seven, eight, and fourteen).
