To the Church of the Prophet Elias

After the intersection for the church of the Virgin Mary (Panagia) the Vatousena and 1700 meters before the monastery, we will see a dirt road on our right where a sign points toward the church of the Prophet Elias (Profitis Ilias). After 20 or 30 meters, the dirt road splits in two. One branch heads left, or northeast, toward Prophet Elias, and the other goes southeast to the church of the Virgin Mary (Panagia) the Spiliousena. We head toward the church of the Prophet Elias. A bad dirt road (only accessible with a 4x4), with bad stones in some places, will lead us in 2200 meters to the highest peak on the island (531 meters altitude), the Prophet Elias. Here we will find the little church of the same name near some telecommunication antennas, and we can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the entire island.
