A prominent Psarian from the time of the Greek Independence War. Born in Psara in 1796, Konstantinos (or Konstantis) Nikodimos was distinguished for his efforts on a fire ship in the National Struggle, as well as being a member of the Parliament of Psara. After Greek liberation, he took the title of vice admiral and became president and grand sponsor of the National Fleet. His other activities included writing, mainly focused on the naval war of 1821. The Naval Hospital of Athens was named after him.
