Elementary School of Psara

The elementary school and kindergarten of Psara, below the church of Saint Nicholas (Agios Nikolaos). Today, fewer than 25 students study there. After the liberation of Psara from the Ottomans on October 21, 1912, the Konaki building was used as a school for the island, where the Chamber of Shipping had been in pre-revolutionary days. In 1926, the construction of a new school began in its current position, the school was completed in 1928.
