Megalo Chorafi to Megali Ammos (Path 7)

At 345 meters altitude, Megalo Chorafi is an area in the center of the island that is rich in a variety of flora. With large passes and beautiful views, it is also the hub for several of the footpaths that cross the island. Four paths start and end here: Path 6, north toward Kokkini Agortza (which then continues as Path 13 to the church of Saint Constantine and Melegakia), 3,500 meters to Saint Constantine. Path 14 northwest to Agalou Lakka, 2,150 meters or 45 minutes. Path 7 southwest toward Makrys Kavos, 2 kilometers, and Path 8, south toward Megali Ammos, 3.5 kilometers. This is the starting point of Path 7 to Makrys Kavos, and then to Megali Ammos.
