Fakistres

1,700 meters from Gerakas on the way to Patitiri, we turn left on a dirt road to explore the northwestern part of the island for a while--at least the part we can reach by road. Along the way, we pass the sparsely populated farming settlement of Fakistres, which is surrounded by olive trees. 4,100 meters long, the dirt road is in moderately good condition. It returns to the main road at Diaselo. The distance between the point where we leave the main road and where we return to it is 2,900 meters.
