Saint George

The church of Saint George (Agios Georgios) is hidden in the narrow streets within the castle of Chora. It dates back to the 16th or 17th century AD. Beneath the plaster on its interior walls, frescoes were discovered. The icons found in the church include images of the Virgin Mary, Jesus Christ (18th century), Saint John (18th century), Saint George (17th - 18th century) and the Annunciation (17th-18th centuries).
