The Holy Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior (Metamorfosis tou Sotiros) rises above the central coastal road of Tyros. Every year, on August 5th, the eve of the church's celebration day, there is a Vespers service followed by a procession along the beach behind the icon of Christ the Savior, with a multitude of faithful followers.
