Drakospita

Two-part megalithic construction embedded in the ground, with flat stone slabs for a roof. This is a building from antiquity, but its use and exact dating have not been scientifically confirmed. Structures like this were probably the ancient sanctuaries of Zeus, Hera, or Hercules. Drakospita are also found in other Greek regions (such as in southern Evia, at the top of Mount Ochi, and in Styra).
