Saint Dimitrios

The little church of Saint Dimitrios (Agios Dimitrios) is located north of the settlement of Sfentouri. After passing the small church of Saint Nicholas (Agios Nikolaos) 135 meters from the point where Paths One (1) and Two (2) intersect on the way to the Achlada watering hole (souvala), we continue for another 250 meters along the now overlapping paths (1 and 2 together) until we reach a plateau. There, while Paths 1 and 2 continue heading northeast (to the right), we turn in the opposite direction, to the left, toward the church of Saint Dimitrios. Basically there is no path, we must walk carefully between stones and low vegetation for about 150 meters. There is a beautiful amphitheatric view of Perdika, Moni Island, and Agistri to the west, the peninsula of Methana in the southwest and the city of Aegina in the north.
