Turnoff for the Path to the Church of Saint George

We can reach the country church of Saint George (Agios Georgios) north of Sfentouri by taking a detour to the right (southwest) off Path Two (2). This detour comes from the Ancient Olive Grove (Archaios Elaionas) and ends at the little church of the Cross (Stavros) east of Perdika. (The distance between the two churches is about 900 meters.) We find the detour 1000 meters from the Ancient Olive Grove, where we cross the Chounis stream and then turn right. Important note: while you are on the path that leads to the church of the Cross (Stavros), you must turn left at the point shown here, continuing on a narrow 50 meter trail that heads obliquely uphill, in order to reach the church of Saint George.
