A section of the ancient city's cemetery extends as far as the beginning of Path 3, which descends from Ancient Thera to Perissa. As we have seen, part of the cemetery also extended to the opposite, northern side, descending toward Kamari. The excavations of N. Zapheiropoulos, C. Sigalas, H. Dragendorff, and E. Pfuhl brought to light numerous findings dating back to the period from the 8th century BC to the time of the first Christians.
