Fougaro Beach

A busy beach bar and restaurant on the beach of Agios Georgios, in the old premises of the former tomato factory. The factory's tall smokestack, for which the restaurant was named, rises up behind it. Try the pasta with shrimp and smoked paprika and the sea bass with citrus vinaigrette and seasonal greens if you are a fan of seafood. If you prefer meat, you will especially enjoy the lamb chops marinated with spicy harissa and roasted eggplant puree, as well as the veal meatballs with feta hummus, pesto with half sundried tomatoes, and fried potatoes. Accompany them with the wonderful wine EOS made from the local Assyrtiko and Athiri grape varieties.
