Armeni

The old port of Oia, which was named for the rigging (ta armena, in Greek) of ships. In the 19th century, there were shipyards here that built sailing ships for the navy of Epano Meria (now also called Oia, Apano Meria, or Ano Meria). Armeni now has a small harbor and a pier where boats tie up, as well as a few houses.
