"Folk tradition museum in Kontochori, Fira, founded by Emmanuel A. Lignos, a lawyer, journalist, and editor of the newspaper ""Thiraika Nea"" (which means Santorini News). Untouched by the earthquake of 1956, the house that now hosts the museum was restored in 1973, and then old furniture, utensils, and family heirlooms were placed in their appropriate positions. In 1993 the museum added a wing for an art gallery and workshops for carpenters, barrel makers, shoemakers and tinsmiths, as well as the church of Saint Constantine (Agios Konstantinos), in memory of the owner of the estate, the founder's uncle Konstantinos Emmanuel Lignos.
