Columbo Beach (also called Koloumbos, Kouloumpos, and other similar variations) is located 8.5 kilometers from Fira (on the way to Oia). Its name comes from the nearby submarine Kolumbo (Columbo, etc.) volcano (the second active volcano on Santorini), which is about 8 kilometers from the coast. The beach is covered with black and red pebbles as well as larger rocks. The right side of it is dominated by the cliff of Cape Columbo. The beach often attracts nudists.
