In Kaparies, Pano Chorio (the Upper Village) in the settlement of Akrotiri, we find the little church of Saint Nicholas the Orphan (Agios Nikolaos o Orfanos). It is called "the Orphan" because the church is very small. It has a beautiful view toward Akrotiri Beach. A bit farther down, we will see the church of Saint Nicholas the Lily (Agios Nikolaos o Krinos), so named because lilies grow in the area.
