Created during the volcanic evolution of Santorini, the White Beach or Aspri Paralia differs from the Red Beach east of it in being surrounded by white cliffs both outside and inside the sea. Access by land is quite difficult and not recommended. The easiest way to get there is by sea, with boats starting in Akrotiri. The beach is one of the stops on a number of daily excursions to the Santorini caldera.
