Open Air Cinema

In Santorini the Kamari summer cinema has operated as an open air cinema since 1987, offering both the residents of the island and its visitors unique movie nights in ideal conditions. With modern sound and picture systems, selected and first-run films, a garden atmosphere, soft lighting, and respect for the traditional architecture of the area, this has developed into a popular, successful business. Recognizing its role as part of the local community, the Cinema also wants and tries to contribute (with the support of locals) in other cultural sectors, providing space for other art forms (theater, music, exhibitions) as well as films.
