Cave of Nicolas

At Akrotiri Beach we will come across several tavernas next to each other, in a row, their balconies almost reaching the rocky beach. Here you can lunch or dine, enjoying both your food and this wonderful view. The cave of Uncle Nicholas was created during the years of the excavations of Spyridon Marinatos, and since then it stands out for its delicious traditional delicacies, such as tomato balls, fava beans, fresh cheese, garlic pasta, and plenty of fresh fish. In 2007-2008, it won the Gourmet prize for the best traditional taverna in Santorini.
