Walking downhill along the train tracks in the Vouraikos Gorge, about one kilometer from Kato Zachlorou, we find the first 'teeth' on the rack (or cog) railway tracks. The tracks descend a lot, and the vegetation becomes dense. We carefully pass over a small metal bridge, and in less than four minutes we see a new railway hut in a freshly paved courtyard with wooden pergolas. If we head to the hut and turn left, we can descend to the river at a point with a small 'beach,' while the imposing iron railway bridge of the rack railway rises above us.
