From the main road of Ano Meria, descend to the right at the mini market 400 meters after the Folk Art Museum. Proceed for about 300 meters on a narrow cobblestoned dirt road, and near the last house the 800 meter path begins that leads to the largest spring on the island, the Sillaka Spring. This area used to have much more water, so the inhabitants of Ano Meria did their gardening here in the past. Today everything has been deserted, and there is much less water. The return trip is particularly tiring, as you must cover at least 220 meters in altitude difference. However, the whole downhill route is fantastic, with great views of the Aegean Sea and the rugged landscape of the island.
