Path Five (5)

The Greek Company of the Environment and Culture and the Municipality of Sikinos are collaborating to implement the “Paths of Culture” program, selecting and marking a series of routes in order to offer visitors the opportunity to discover experientially the primitive, simple and beautiful landscape of the island. By 2016 they had marked seven trails. Path Five (5) (length 9.3 kilometers, 3 hours and 20 minutes estimated hiking time) begins at the new school in Chorio. Along the way you will see, among other things, the terracing of cultivated land, the Monastery of the Life Giving Spring (Zoodochos Pigi), and the little churches of the Second Coming, Saint Fotini, the Prophet Elias, and Saint John. This is the point where Path 5 separates from Path 4 at the Church of the Prophet Elias.
