There are idyllic sandy beaches with blue green water like a marine pool at the edge of the deep little bay of Hinitsa (or Chinitsa), between Kosta and Porto Heli (or Porto Cheli). You can reach them either by car or by sea taxi from Spetses. (With the sea taxi, you should also make arrangements for your return trip.) Many people enjoy the main beach of Hinitsa and the well-known Taverna tis Giagias (Grandma's Taverna), in business next to the beach since 1955. If you walk a few meters down the path to the left of the main beach, you will come across a second much smaller, almost deserted sandy beach called Mikri (Little) Hinitsa. It is well hidden behind barbed wire, with its own idyllic bay. We strongly recommend it.
