Old Panormitis

The church of Old (Paleos) Panormitis is just behind the church of Panormitis. It contains some of the most interesting religious paintings in Halki, since this country church is relatively well preserved (compared to many on the island). However, some of the paintings have been desecrated with carvings, probably during the time when the Ottomans were in the Dodecanese.
