Virgin Mary Kamaroti

From the church of Prophet Elias in the Mountains, a relatively passable dirt road heads north toward the little churches of the Virgin Mary (Panagia) Roudiani (in 2,300 meters) and the Virgin Mary (Panagia) Kamarotis (in 3,400 meters). The former is on a ridge (at 390 meters altitude) that descends to Karavas in the northwest, while on our right, deep in the background to the north, is the cove of Sykamia. The church of the Virgin Mary Kamaroti is located farther north, also on a ridge, but lower (at 315 meters). A 600-meter path begins here that heads toward Lakkos and the little church of Saint John (Agios Ioannis).
