Useful Tips and Information
1. In Serifos there is only one gas station; it is on the road that leads from Livadi to Chora. Distances may be small on the island, but be sure to fill up your gas tank, because the gas station is not open 24 hours a day.
2. Be careful when driving on windy days, especially on the north side of the island. If you are driving a motorcycle, assess the situation, and decide whether it is safest to stop until the strong wind subsides.
3. Because of the bad roads as well as many steep roads, bicycling is recommended only for short trips, such as from Livadi to Psili Ammos.
4. Most beaches are not marked by signs.
5. The marina in Livadi is a reasonably safe and secure place for boats, including sailboats.
