Krousovitis Valley

The Krousovitis or Achladitis River originates in the region of Achladochori and flows through the city of Sidirokastro, forming a beautiful valley on the northeast side of town. The river is a tributary of the Strymonas (or Struma), which it joins after leaving Sidirokastro. The valley is full of plane trees, and as we approach the city, we find tavernas and caf?s above the river.
